Whole brain comparison of functional microconnectome

The brain achieves various cognitive functions in the dynamics on the complex network connecting brain regions or neurons etc.. Such complex network architectures exist at various spatial scales, maintaining their complexity. We have extensively compared the topology of microconnectomes (networks connecting neurons as nodes) obtained in various brain regions in mouse cortex. Such systematic comparative studies are rare, and there have been no previous studies of functional networks estimated from neuronal activity. Prior to such a comparison, we established a method to divide functional connections into excitatory and inhibitory connections, and developed a basic technology to embed a large amount of data (>100) into the identical space. In parallel with this research, we are also analyzing disease model mice, which will be presented if time permits.
